Why We Set Up Mum’s Help

Because modern motherhood is beautiful… but also exhausting.

We started Mum’s Help because we saw the same pattern again and again: brilliant, capable, busy mums running on empty. Not because they were doing anything wrong — but because they were doing everything.

School runs, meal planning, appointments, laundry mountains, tidying, family admin, birthday parties, and the constant mental load of “what needs doing next?”

It’s no wonder so many mums feel like they’re just about holding it all together.

But this isn’t just about what we saw.
It’s about what we lived.

I left the corporate world because I couldn’t keep doing it all. I was spinning plates at work and at home — and constantly dropping the ones that mattered most. I’ve walked in your shoes. I know exactly what it’s like to feel like you’re failing everywhere, even though you’re trying your hardest.

You’re tired.
There aren’t enough hours in the day.
Your marriage is under strain.
You're snapping at the kids.
And the panic hits when someone says they're “popping round” — and the house is a mess and you haven’t even had time to buy biscuits, let alone tidy up.

It’s overwhelming. It’s lonely. And it’s not how any of us want to live.

That’s why Mum’s Help was born — to offer practical, respectful, in-home support for mums who simply need an extra pair of hands (and a kind heart) to keep the house and life moving forward.

We’re not nannies or cleaners. We’re not therapists or tutors.
We’re something in between — the help you wish you had, when life is just a bit too much.

Whether it’s:

  • Folding laundry and putting it away properly

  • Helping you get on top of the kitchen chaos

  • Tidying rooms that always fall to the bottom of your list

  • Running errands

  • Or just offering a calm, judgment-free presence while you catch your breath...

We’re here for the in-between moments. The things that don’t get outsourced. The invisible load that’s rarely acknowledged, but always felt.

Because when a mum is supported, the whole family feels it.

So if you’re tired of doing it all — and just need someone to lighten the load — Mum’s Help is here.
No shame. No judgment. Just help.
